How do I delete my MadeTask account?

You can request deletion of your MadeTask account and associated personal data at any time. MadeTask is operated by Efficient Systems Limited (Hong Kong), the entity responsible for processing your personal data.

How to request deletion

Option 1 — in your account

1. Sign in at https://my.madetask.com or in the MadeTask app.
2. Go to Settings > Login & Security.
3. Tap "Delete account" and confirm your request.

Option 2 — by email

Send a message from the email address linked to your account to support@madetask.com with the subject "Account deletion".

What happens next

We may ask you to confirm your identity before processing the request. Your request will be processed within 24 hours, and you will receive a confirmation. After that, your account will be deleted and no further notifications will be sent to it.

What data is deleted

We delete or anonymize personal data that we are not required to retain, including:

• identity and contact details: name, date of birth, gender, nationality, email address, phone number, residential address;
• login credentials, account settings and preferences;
• saved payout details and billing address;
• technical data: device and browser information, IP address, cookies, activity logs;
• feedback, surveys and support requests. Account data is deleted or anonymized no later than 6 months after your account is deleted.

What data is retained and for how long

Your data protection rights do not release us from our obligations under anti-money laundering (AML) and tax legislation. The following data is retained for 5 years after your account is deleted:

• transaction and payment records;
• invoices, acts and other closing documents;
• identity verification (KYC) data: passport or ID details, photos and uploaded documents. This data may also be used for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. It is limited to what is necessary, is not used for any other purpose except as permitted by law, and is securely deleted or anonymized once the retention period ends.
