Step-by-step instructions for uploading a file for bulk task upload
Step 1: Go to the "Tasks" page
Navigate to the "Tasks" section in your account.
Step 2: Click the "Bulk task upload" button
On the "Tasks" page, find and click the "Bulk task upload" button.
Step 3: Download the Excel file template
After clicking the button, a modal window will open with a link to download the Excel file template. Click the link to start downloading the file.
Step 4: Fill out the file template
Open the downloaded file and fill in all the necessary fields. All columns, except for external_id, are mandatory. Enter the following data:
- Email — assignee's email.
- Cost — amount to be received by the assignee (you can specify a number rounded to two decimal places).
- Currency — currency (RUB, EUR, USD).
- Service_id — service code (choose from the available codes list).
- Title — task name.
- Description — task description.
- Deadline — task deadline.
- Report needed — enter "1" if a report is needed from the assignee, or "0" if not.
If you don't know which service codes to use for the service_id field, click the "Service Codes" link in the template.
A list of available codes will open, where you can select the correct service code.
Step 5: Upload the file to the system
Once the file is filled out, return to the task import page. To upload the file, either drag it into the upload field or click the field to select the file from your computer.
Step 6: The system checks the file for errors
After uploading, the system will automatically check the file for errors. If no errors are found, the process will continue. If errors are found:
- Critical errors: For example, incorrect file extension or missing mandatory columns. In this case, the upload will not proceed, and you will need to fix the errors in the file and upload it again.
- Non-critical errors: For example, an invalid service code in one of the rows. You will receive a notification that errors were found and be given the option to choose how to proceed.
- Ignore errors: Tasks without errors will be uploaded.
- Fix errors: Download the file with highlighted errors, correct them, and upload the file again.
Step 7: Verify that tasks have been created
After the file is successfully uploaded, all tasks will be created, and you will be redirected to the "Upload History" tab. Here, you can check the status of your uploaded files and verify if there are any errors.
Step 8: Upload History
In the "Bulk upload history" section, you can:
- View all previously uploaded files.
- Download files with errors (if you selected "Ignore errors" or "Show errors").
- Use filters to search for specific files.
- Check the upload status (e.g., "Uploading" while the system processes the tasks).
Step 9: Retry file upload
If an error occurs during the upload process, such as the file not being uploaded, the system will prompt you to upload the file again. Don’t worry, this is rare — just upload the file again.
